Wild Paddle (BWCA)

An instant success for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The site is owned, designed, and maintained by Northern Voyageur, inc. Within two months WildPaddle.com rocketed to the front page of Google for its most coveted term BWCA and has maintained that position since inception in April 2007.

Everything on this site was done by Northern Voyageur, inc. It features a catalog of all the lakes in the BWCA, with articles, campsites, ranger stations and more. It integrates Google Maps to show the locations of places and features an AJAX rating system.

Within two months www.wildpaddle.com was on the front page of Google for my most coveted term 'BWCA'. It's remained on the front page ever since and also ranks on the front page for terms like 'boundary waters map', ' hanging a bear bag', 'bwca campsites', and 'how to start a fire in the wild'.

The site sells BWCA maps using a shopping cart called Ubercart.

WildPaddle.com is built using Drupal, the open source content management Swiss army knife.
